Designed for the passage of personnel, these hatches can be either manually or power operated. Sizes commonly range from 18" to 48" (450mm to 1220mm). Square, rectangular, oval, and custom shapes are available.

The hatches can be raised or flush mounted, depending on their location.

Quick-acting handwheels, individual dogs, or drop bolts secure the hatch in the closed position. Operation is available from both sides or one side only.

Due to their weight, personnel hatches which are subject to high pressure often require some type of mechanical, electric, or hydraulic assist to aid in opening or closing.
